A love of all things art inspired me to interpret the art in the world around me. Having a child showed me beauty only a mother could know and inspired the need to capture every precious moment of her growing years. Throughout that time I have learned to show these memories as expressions of art through photos and hope to inspire those around me. To feel inspired with creativity, not only to capture memories, but to also encourage the subject to portray emotion or personifications. I love making my subject feel comfortable and confident they will have positively contributed to their work of art.
Some say I bring a past life to this one. I focus on small details and analyze time and style in order to accurately replicate a time period. Most concepts are thought out and planned beforehand, normally consisting of clothing, makeup/hair, and set. Work is done in both digital and film format and most work is smooth, fine grained, and stylized.
While I have done many types of photographic work and after years of trying many forms, I have become specialized in portraiture. I love the experience I have during a photo shoot with my subject and the personal level it allows me to have in order to capture the person genuinely. The artist in me sees the world through many interpretations and having a camera allows me to acquire memories of things and people in my world which I find intriguing. I continuously explore new ways of composing better photos technically and ways which will help better encapsulate every aspect of the photo’s meaning.
